About DNA Trails

Rooted in Innsbruck.
Open to everyone.

In the heart of the Alps, Innsbruck brings city life and mountain trails close together. From forest paths to high alpine routes, there is room for every kind of runner. The annual Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival and the 2023 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships, hosted with the Stubai Valley, reflect a trail running scene that reaches far beyond the city.

DNA Trails brings people together through free, welcoming trail runs in the mountains around Innsbruck, with three groups so everyone can find their pace. Since May 2023, our volunteer community has helped locals and newcomers make friends, explore responsibly, and feel at home on the trails.

Collaboration ideas

Good partnerships.
Shared adventures.

Bring your expertise, your space, or your products. Together, we can create something useful for our community and meaningful for your organisation.

Bring your idea
01 / Courses & skills

Fill your classes.
Grow our skills.

We bring our community together for avalanche safety courses, cross-country skiing lessons, and other outdoor skills sessions at attractive prices.

For course providers, a collaboration can help fill classes with an interested group. In return, we look for a competitive community rate and a few complimentary places for our crew. More people learning, with a better deal for everyone.

02 / Coffee & community
The community catching up over post-run drinks

Good trails.
Great coffee.

Your café or brunch spot could be the starting point for our next run, and the place we return to afterwards.

Featuring your venue as the meeting point in our event updates gives it visibility with our community and introduces runners to somewhere they can return with friends. A shared run, a good coffee, and a reason to come back.

Café & brunch partnership
03 / Gear & clothing

Off the shelf.
Onto the trails.

Build a practical workshop around your gear, from trying trail shoes to learning how to use poles or pack for a mountain run.

Or equip our crew with your gear or clothing, bringing your products into the runs they lead week after week. Give people a chance to see the kit in use, ask questions, and get to know your brand through a shared experience.

Gear demos & crew equipment
04 / Sports nutrition

Fuel the run.
Start a conversation.

Introduce your sports nutrition through a tasting at a community run, a workshop on fuelling, or product samples for a shared trail day.

Let runners get to know your gels, drinks, or snacks in the setting they are made for. Your brand gets visibility and direct feedback; our community gets a chance to try something new and learn from your expertise.

Nutrition workshops & tastings
05 / Race partnerships

Your start line.
Our trail people.

Bring your local race to a community that loves getting out on the trails. We can promote your event through our community channels, share the race details, and encourage runners to join the adventure.

In return, offer complimentary race bibs and a competitive entry discount for our community. You get visibility with an interested audience and the opportunity to attract more entrants; our runners get a great reason to discover your race.

Different paces.
Equal belonging.

In a sport where men still make up the majority of recorded race participants, our nearly equal Instagram audience stands out. For brands, that means a chance to connect with women and men through the same welcoming community.

Inclusiveness is part of how we run: Snail, Discovery, and Advanced offer different paces, with a warm welcome for every level. We want more people to feel that the trails are for them.

This balance goes beyond our Instagram audience: we see it reflected at our community runs and events too. For wider context, ITRA reported women represented 29% of its runner database in 2024.
